Pickleball Hamilton becomes a Not for Profit Corporation
I would like to bring you up to speed with the progress and for some of you the introduction of Pickleball Hamilton.
Jeff Morgan, Gary Russell and Rick Stevens have created a Not For Profit Corporation called Pickleball Hamilton. The mission of Pickleball Hamilton is to promote the growth of Pickleball as a game for all ages in the Hamilton Area.
Our long term vision is to provide a dedicated indoor and outdoor facility to the community to play our great game. We hope to have a system in place much like a Tennis Club and provide Clinics, Summer Camps, Social Round Robin like today, Ladders, PB Cardio, open play and eventually a court booking system. These events would be available to all age groups and all skill levels.
We realize that we have a long way to go to meet the goals stated above, but we have to start somewhere. Though we have only been together as an organization for a very short time we have lots of things planned for the upcoming year.
We have begun the process of planning the next Tournament which I assure you will have some jaw dropping, eyebrow raising elements to it. We are working on something big to tie Pickleball to the largest event Hamilton has seen for a long time. The City has approached us to work with them on a Pickleball Initiative which we will learn more about very soon. We have much more in our bag of tricks but we don’t want to spoil the fun.
Our plan is to show the city of Hamilton that we have the numbers of Pickleball Players and the interest to make this sport huge!
I hope we can count on your support on our journey to Pickleball greatness!
